About Peggy Carter
Peggy Carter, portrayed by Hayley Atwell, is the Marvel protagonist in her own T.V. show called “Agent Carter,” which aired between 2015 and 2016; she is also Captain America’s love interest in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger. Peggy is a crucial strategic Scientific Reserve (S.S.R.) member, an Allied deep science agency formed to combat HYDRA, the Nazi super weapons division, during and after WWII.
Peggy saved Professor Abraham Erskine from Red Skull during the mission in Germany. The Super Soldier Serum project was launched due to her mission’s success. During the project, Peggy met and befriended Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America. She fell in love with Rogers and lost him on his final mission against Hydra, where he crashed and landed the craft in the frozen ocean. Peggy later assisted Howard Stark in clearing his name after he was accused of being a traitor. And with her assistance, Stark established the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, a new peacekeeping organization (S.H.I.E.L.D.). Peggy met Rogers again in her old age and bid him farewell before she died.
